Round 12 Match Review 21.7.2019

Another cracker of a day for footy! All junior teams played at home this weekend, and while it was cold the weather was on our side and the rain stayed away. Both under 13s and 14s having great games – not getting the win but 13’s played an exceptional second half of footy and 14s had a much improved result from last time the teams met. Please read below summary from our coaches.

Playing 2nd on the ladder today the boys seemed switch on early but score board didnt show it.. It was a game of 2 halves first one being one way traffic coming in at half time 36 to 0… 2nd half was all the other way winning the half by 5 goals to 4.

Unfortunately the ladder doesn’t show it, but we have been in games more then not and just need a 4 quarter effort. With 2 games to go we are all hoping for 2 more wins..

Best players today Kyran, Blayden, Zac, Cooper, Jordan, Hayden

Cobras 5.1.31

Berwick 9.8.62

Goals: Haden Barry 1, Noah Crew 1, Jordan Pasendorfer 3

Assistant Coach – Kent Edwards (Dids)

The Under 14s were up against Noble Park this week, Two quick goals from Noble Park within the first 5 minutes was not the start we were looking for, however the boys finally settled at held their own for the remainder of the term. The second term the boys continued to match Noble Park around the contest, and we were able to get reward for our efforts on the scoreboard with two goals, unfortunately we conceded two ourselves and went into the main break 17 points down, The third term we continued to press forward we were able to kick the only goal for the term and went into three quarter time 13 points in arrears, Noble Park were able to get an early goal in the last to stretch their lead, we managed to peg one back to late in the in a much improved result from our earlier meeting in the season and the boys should be disappointed in the result but proud in their efforts over the four quarters.

Cobras 4.0.24

Noble Park 8.9.57

Goals: Kyran 2, Jordan 1, Piper 1
