Round 7 Match Review – 2.6.2019

What a great day for footy! Wasn’t warm but the rain stayed away! Here are the results and comments from coaches for Round 7 - 2nd June

under 8s

Coach – Annalise Tumbas

Assistant Coach – Lleyton Dunne

The U8’s got off to a good start this week with 9 players. We played with one on the bench each quarter our mid field really used their skills passing the ball around in the first quarter. The second quarter seen us kicking goals and some fantastic team work between the forwards to achieve some fantastic goals. The third quarter with all positions being changed the kids really put pressure on the tigers with the ball being in their forward line most of the quarter the kids continued to keep the ball moving in and out of the midfield. The last quarter was a great match up of skills by both sides the tigers marking and target hitting skills really kept our boys on their toes.

Over all it was a fantastic display of skills and sportsmanship by both teams the u8’s sang the cobras song loud and proud after the game with all players rewarded for their efforts today.

Under 13 took on Pakenham Blue today, who are currently sitting 2nd on the ladder. A big congratulations to Noah who had his 50th game.

Even though the score board didn’t show it every kid put in great effort.

Our best players Blayden, Jayden,  Noah in his 50th, kirk  Cooper and Jordan… keep your heads up we are playing better footy then the ladder shows!

The Under 14s travelled to Berwick hoping to get back on the winners list after a couple of disappointing weeks, The boys had some early chances but couldn’t hit the scoreboard, whilst Berwick made the most of their opportunities and we went into the first break 21 points down. To the boys credit our effort and commitment couldn’t be questioned and the boys fought out the game unfortunately going down by 67 points.

Berwick – 9.15.69
