Congratulations to James Barnes on his 50th game this week.

Today the under 13s played Officer white. It’s was a good contest and our boys came to play and applied great pressure around at each contest across the entire ground. Although we lost by 37 points, we had the better of the first and last quarters but things just didn’t fall our way which would have created a different results. Hold your heads up kids I felt we gave it our all.

Officer 6.8.48

Cora Lynn 1.1.7

Goals: Brayden McDonald

Under 14s

Coach – James Perkins

Assistant Coach – Kent Edwards (Dids)

The Under 14s hosted Cranbourne at Carlisle Park, After a week off the boys had continued to train hard and were committed to turning around their season around. With numbers down due to illness and other family commitments we fielded the ground with 18 players. After a great start we were able to go into the half time break with a small lead, but it was going to be tough to maintain the outstanding first half with no rotations. Early in the second half Cranbourne opened up a two goal lead we were able to get one back and went into the last change down by six points. In a tough last quarter we were able to regain the lead with ten minutes to go, with five minutes left scores were tied, Both sides had their chances, with less than 30 seconds left we were able to score a behind to come away with a hard fought victory.

It was a fantastic team effort, and will give all the boys confidence that they can build on for the remainder of the season.

Cora Lynn 7.7.49

Cranbourne 7.6.48

Goals: Logan Fox 5, Kade Perkins 1, Ashton Hermanus 1
